We started our march at 0430 and went until 0710. It sucked. I think we marched for about 7 miles, but I got really bad blisters on both feet. They hurt really bad, and what’s worse, I think we’re marching another three miles to MOUT training tomorrow, and then three miles back again, then another march early Monday morning. Victory forge shouldn’t be bad at all, and might even be fun if these blisters aren’t too bad.
After our march today we did a lot of standing around and then we did our convoy live fire at Anzio range. We loaded up four humvees, and drove down a road. When a simulated IED went off, we got out and moved in a line, bounding towards the enemy. It was kind of fun, but sitting in the humvees was really cool.
I’m not sure what’s up for the next few days, but hopefully I can recover from that march today, and I know it will go by fast.
